Veer Savarkar: The Architect of Hindu Nationalism and Revolutionary Thought
Abstract
Veer Savarkar, whose real name is Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, is a controversial yet significant figure in India's independence movement and sociopolitical discourse. Savarkar was an academic, social reformer, and revolutionary leader whose accomplishments go beyond his direct involvement in the fight for independence. This book explores his many facets, including his philosophical contributions, revolutionary ambitions, and the concepts' ongoing relevance in modern-day India. Savarkar's writings, biographical narratives, and academic analyses are among the primary and secondary sources used in this historical research methodology. His leadership in the Indian revolutionary movement, his formulation of Hindutva as a political and cultural ideology, and his reformist views on caste and untouchability are among the main themes. Quantitative data and comparative analyses are integrated to provide a nuanced understanding of his impact. Savarkar’s revolutionary efforts, including as his position in India House in London and his articulation of the 1857 rebellion as India’s first struggle of independence, are studied in detail. His social reform efforts, particularly his advocacy for rationalism, meritocracy, and societal unity, are studied to underline his vision of a progressive India. The study also looks at how applicable Savarkar's ideas are to today's problems, including social justice, cultural identity, and national cohesion. The research is enhanced with tables, charts, and graphs that provide visual depictions of his sociopolitical impact and ideological influence. The study also emphasizes how crucial it is to include Savarkar's legacy into contemporary educational frameworks in order to encourage students' critical thinking and cultural sensitivity. In addition to revisiting Savarkar's accomplishments, this thorough examination establishes him as a significant thinker whose theories still influence and challenge India's sociopolitical and cultural environment. The study intends to offer insightful information to academics, educators, and politicians by connecting the past and present.

The Role of Rural Women in Household Food Security for Sustainable Livelihood: A Case Study on Natua and Jalduar Village of Puruliya District, West Bengal
Abstract
In the twenty-first century, the pursuit of food security remains a major challenge, especially
for developing countries. At the household level, proper nutritional management through the
contribution of rural women is capable of helping the reduction of hunger, food insecurity and
ultimately reaching a sustainable livelihood. However, the role of rural women in ensuring
household food security is now unrecognized in the developmental policy. This study was
undertaken to explore the distinct participation of rural women in food security at the household
level. Primary data were obtained by household survey using structured questionnaires from
Natua and Jalduar village of Puruliya II block of Puruliya District. A total of 60 households
particularly aged between 20 to 70 years women were selected based on a simple random
sampling method. To organize and summarize field data used a frequency distribution table
and percentage calculation. To determine food security status, the USDA (United States
Department of Agriculture) household food security scale was used, to examine the relationship
between household food security and the particular role played by women log linear model was
also utilized. The survey result indicates that socioeconomic and demographic variables such
as age group, and marital status, income, education, and occupation did not create a significant
impact on household food security. Evidence from the household survey also showed that
about 60% of households were food insecure with hunger and severe conditions, 26% out of
them were faced with food security without hunger, and only 13% experienced food security
in the study area. This finding should be useful for govt. and policy makers to make attempts
to change the socio-economic condition and diversification in the role of rural women with a
more focused approach to dealing with food security at the household level.

Tradition in the Digital Age Examining Social Media’s Influence on Godna Tattooing in Tribal Culture
Abstract
Tribal art has long been recognized as a powerful repository of cultural identity, historical memory, and community cohesion. Across various indigenous groups, women often play a critical role in sustaining these artistic traditions, navigating the delicate balance between preserving ancestral customs and responding to social change. This article investigates the role of women in preserving Godna art, a distinctive tattoo- and body-art-based tradition, among the Santhal tribe of eastern India. The study identifies how women act as both custodians and innovators of Godna art. They maintain customary motifs and techniques while simultaneously adapting them to contemporary tastes, thereby ensuring their ongoing relevance.
However, women practitioners face several challenges in preserving this vital art form. The dominance of modern fashion trends has led some younger generations to perceive Godna art as archaic, resulting in diminished interest in traditional designs. Furthermore, socio-economic constraints, coupled with limited institutional support, pose obstacles to the sustainable practice of Godna. In some cases, the patriarchal social structures and cultural norms constrain women’s mobility and entrepreneurial opportunities, thereby creating barriers to the transmission of skills. Despite these challenges, this study uncovers that many Santhal women remain resilient, employing adaptive strategies such as forming cooperative groups or using digital platforms to reach broader audiences.
By examining the interplay between cultural heritage, gendered responsibilities, and modern socio-economic pressures, this research offers fresh insights into the survival of tribal arts in a rapidly transforming society. The findings underscore the crucial role played by Santhal women in safeguarding Godna as both a traditional and evolving form of expression, illuminating how indigenous artistic practices can endure when communities are equipped with the necessary agency, resources, and institutional backing. In conclusion, this article advocates for context-specific policy measures and community-based initiatives aimed at enhancing women’s artistic autonomy and preserving tribal heritage.

A Critical Analysis of Ashoka the Great’s Legacy Significance to Modern Society and Educational Practice
Abstract
Ashoka the Great, the third emperor of the Mauryan dynasty, had a profound effect on Indian history and beyond during his rule from 268 to 232 BCE. The legacy of Ashoka, his transition from a bloody conqueror to a Buddhist champion and nonviolent advocate, and the spread of Dhamma throughout his empire are all critically examined in this research study. The results of his instructions, the architectural wonders he commissioned, and the spread of his moral and ethical beliefs are all examined. With an emphasis on governance, interfaith harmony, and moral leadership, the study also examines how Ashoka's theories might be implemented in modern society. It also looks at how Ashoka's ideas may be applied to modern teaching strategies to help people become more compassionate and socially aware. By examining a variety of subjects, such as Ashoka's foreign policy, social programs, and administrative reforms, this essay seeks to provide a comprehensive summary of his reign. It looks at how he significantly altered the Indian subcontinent's sociopolitical climate, especially by bringing Buddhism and social welfare programs. The analysis goes further to comprehend the ways in which Ashoka's inscriptions functioned as instruments of control and communication, emphasizing their historical value in providing information about the Mauryan Empire's administrative structure.Since Ashoka's propagation of Buddhism resulted in its expansion into areas like Sri Lanka, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia, the study also assesses his long-term impact on succeeding generations in India and Asia. By comparing Ashoka's rule with contemporary political systems, it offers suggestions for developing moral and ethical governance in the modern period. By doing this, it highlights Ashoka's leadership style and the ways his principles can be used to address modern issues like environmental degradation, religious intolerance, and socioeconomic inequality. This study attempts to give a thorough grasp of Ashoka's lasting influence and useful applications in the modern world by meticulously examining historical sources, inscriptions, and contemporary perspectives. In order to ensure that Ashoka's legacy continues to motivate future generations, the study also provides a critical viewpoint on how the educational system may use his ideals to produce morally upright people.

Balancing Individual Rights with Social Welfare: An Analysis of Judicial Interpretations
Abstract
Balancing Individual Rights with Social Welfare: An Analysis of Judicial Interpretations in India
1 Maisnam Loyalakpa Meitei
The relationship between Part III and Part IV of the Constitution of India implicates a captivating legal and philosophical gap. These two Parts under the Constitution often seemingly represent odds when the questions and issue of individual rights and social welfare mandates by Part III & Part IV of the Constitution in motion. This poses serious imbalance and far causing complicacies in between the two Parts of the Constitution. This paper seeks to exhibit the role of the judiciary, and how the judiciary harmonized the imbalanced mandates of the Constitution giving way out ultimately the governance of the country then and now. The complexities of the judicial pronouncement though is insanely complex than any reader thought of, yet this paper tries to lay only the few brief crux.
Post-independent India, but in the first decade, legal positivism often led to guide judicial pronouncements. This often led to giving effect to social legislation than fundamental rights of the individual. The mandate of Part IV of the Constitution gain considerable recognition than individual fundamental rights. Prominent case like Re. Shankari Prasad case is an exemplary landmark judicial pronouncement. Denying the fact that only until the coming of Re. I.C. Golaknath case and the culmination of Re. Kesavananda case finally led to surpass all the earlier judgments. These later cases’ pronouncement of the Apex court gives unshakable prominence of the fundamental rights of the individual. This paradigm change balances the conundrum between Part III and Part IV of the Constitution by propounding the Basic Feature theory in the Constitution. This harmonization through judicial interpretations of the Supreme Court of India in between the Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State Policy became fundamental to policy making and ultimately in governance.
With this analysis, the paper tries to illustrate the role of the judiciary, her impeachable virtue to check and balance; the brave dexterity of the judiciary and judicial interpretation, and her triumph of giving justice to fundamental rights of every individual and social welfare at large.

Kaushambi City and Buddhist Tradition in Ancient India: A Review
Abstract
Buddha visited the kingdom of Avanti and came to Kaushambi. Then the king of Kaushambi was Udayan. But King Udayan was a bitter Buddha-hater. He had his reasons. Magandiya, a Brahmin daughter of Srāvastī, was fascinated by the Buddha and wanted to marry him. Angered by the Buddha's rejection and his disdain for his form, Magandiya became angry. Magandia was very beautiful. Magandiya's uncle brought him to Kaushambi. King Udayan was impressed by his appearance. She came to the palace as a princess. But even as a queen, she could not forget the Buddha and made the king anti-Buddha. Knowing that the Buddha was coming to Kaushambi and staying at Ghositaram Vihara, Magandiya started propagating the Buddha with the help of some wicked people with a lot of money. They began to abuse and abuse the Buddha and his disciples. Fed up with this, Ananda requested that Buddha leave this city. Just as the elephant endures the pelts hurled on the battlefield, so the Buddha remained at Kaushambi and lived in the ninth monsoon, ignoring all troubles. However, later, King Udayana realised his mistake, repented, and took refuge with Buddha. The discussion article presents various aspects of Kaushambi, an ancient city in India, and its Buddhist tradition.

Socrates: A Provocative Agitator and a Defiant Sage
Abstract
In Plato’s Apology, it is evident that Socrates is an aggressive and defiant philosopher whose unique method of questioning revealed the ignorance of many and pushed the Athenian populace to deconstruct their belief systems and critically examine their societal norms. His provocative behaviour made him a highly polarising personality and also a celebrated philosopher. His criticism of democracy, material pursuits, and traditional Athenian values earned him much respect and followers among the young rebellious community; however, it also made him a hostile enemy of the elite and the general public. This paper will delve into the tensions that arose from the impact of Socrates’ philosophical ideals on Athenian social norms and political values. This paper will also analyse how the Socratic method influenced the youth and how his defiant behaviour highlighted the clash between intellectual freedom and societal order.

Right to Mental Health in India: A Judicial Perspective
Abstract
The right to mental health in India has evolved through judicial interpretation and legislative reforms, recognizing mental well-being as an integral part of the right to life under Article 21 of the Constitution. The judiciary has played a pivotal role in expanding this right by emphasizing state responsibility in providing adequate mental healthcare services, ensuring dignity, and protecting individuals with mental illness from discrimination. Landmark judgments, such as Sheela Barse v. Union of India and Shantistar Builders v. Narayan Khimalal Totame, have reinforced the importance of humane treatment and rehabilitation for mentally ill individuals. The Mental Healthcare Act, 2017, further strengthens these judicial pronouncements by guaranteeing access to mental health services and decriminalizing suicide. Despite progressive rulings, challenges persist in implementation due to infrastructural and societal barriers. This paper explores the judicial trajectory of mental health rights in India, analysing key rulings that have shaped legal and policy frameworks in the country related to mental health.
