| Abstract |
Indian social norms mediate the rate at which female labour supply will respond to economic opportunities. Women are not in a position to disregard their domestic duties and, despite their willingness to work, they can only take up opportunities that allows them juggle between paid and unpaid work. This paper aims to explore the factors that affects the amount of time spent on paid activities by women in India using the Time Use Survey. |
