‘Postmodern’ in the Attic: The Age-Old ‘Postmodernity’ of Geography

The article explores the relationship between Geographical thought and 'Postmodernism'. It argues that 'postmodernism' in Geography should be understood as a dialogic tool rather than as a theoretical development imported from elsewhere. Going back to classical Geographical thought, it shows that Geography has always had postmodern tendencies within its ranks, and not acknowledging this is an injustice to both Geography as a discipline and the true ideals of 'postmodern' thought.
