| Abstract |
Chars are mid channel sand bars. On the other hand, chaparis are attached sandbars or those sandbars which gets attached to the mainland due to the changing direction of river. Land relations of both chars and chapris merits special analysis and these lands are fluid and impermanent in nature. This paper attempts to understand different dynamics of land relations in a riverine chapari village which once showcased the characteristics of a char area. A sociological Lense was applied to understand different dynamics of land relations in this riverine village. |
