Abstract |
Nainital, a prominent hill station nestled in the Himalayan foothills, represents one of India's most significant tourist destinations. Located 36 kilometers from Kathgodam—the gateway to the Himalayas—this picturesque region attracts thousands of visitors annually seeking respite from urban life and extreme weather conditions. This study examines tourist response patterns, preferences, and flow trends in Nainital district through comprehensive primary and secondary data analysis. The research encompasses Nainital town and its surrounding areas, utilizing mixed-method approaches including structured questionnaires, interviews, and statistical trend analysis. The findings reveal significant insights into tourist demographics, motivations, and behavioral patterns, while highlighting the substantial impact of external factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism dynamics. |
