Abstract |
Theatre has long served as a powerful catalyst for social awareness and reform. This research paper investigates how theatre functions as a platform for advocating social justice and addressing inequality. Through qualitative analysis of various performance forms—such as street theatre, community plays, and political drama—this study explores how theatre artists and groups worldwide use performance to amplify marginalized voices, engage audiences emotionally, and mobilize collective action. Drawing from real-world case studies and established theories, the paper highlights theatre’s role as a participatory, reflective, and transformative force. It concludes that theatre continues to be a vital medium for raising consciousness, challenging systemic structures, and contributing to progressive change in society. |
